FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions about Sion, answered.

The honest version of every question we get asked. If something is missing, write us at contact@sionai.faith.

Is Sion only for Evangelicals, Catholics, or Orthodox?

Sion serves Evangelicals, Catholics, and Orthodox. When you start, you select the tradition closest to your faith life, and Sion adapts its prayers, voices, and theological framing accordingly. We built Sion for Christians across traditions while going deep in the traditions we serve today.

Does Sion replace going to church or speaking with a priest?

No. Sion is explicitly built not to be that. Sion is a companion for the prayer life that exists alongside the Church, in the spaces between visits, sacraments, and conversations with clergy. It is for the moments when reaching those things is hard. We believe the Church, the priest, and the sacrament cannot be replaced - and we would not want to replace them.

How does Sion use AI?

Sion uses AI to generate prayers personalized to your situation, to perform those prayers in trained sacred voices, and to create iconographic devotional art when prayer asks for an image. The AI has been trained carefully on Christian liturgical, scriptural, and theological materials across traditions. We do not use AI to make theological claims, replace clergy, or speak as if from a position of religious authority. The AI is a tool serving prayer.

Are my prayers private? Do you share my data?

Your prayers are private. We do not sell your data, share your prayers with anyone outside Sion, or use your prayer content for advertising. Conversations with Sion are encrypted in transit and stored only as long as necessary to give you continuity (so the companion remembers what you talked about last time, if you want it to). You can delete your prayer history at any time. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

What languages does Sion support?

English at launch. Dutch, Italian, Greek, and Romanian are on our near-term roadmap, with Spanish and Portuguese to follow. If your language is not yet supported, you can email us at contact@sionai.faith and we will add it to the priority list.

Can I use Sion without an account?

Sion now starts with an account so your prayer history, entitlements, and subscriptions stay in sync. Existing users simply sign in. New users create an account from the website handoff with an email address, password, and one-time code sent by email, then receive 7 lifetime free actions before checkout is required for the next paid action: 5 text prayers or chat replies, 1 spoken prayer, and 1 devotional image.

Will Sion be available on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon. For now, Sion runs in your web browser on any device - phone, tablet, or computer. The web experience is fully featured.

Can my parish or community use Sion together?

Yes. We offer free six-month premium access for parishes, monasteries, and small Christian communities who want to introduce Sion to their members. If you lead a community and are interested, write to contact@sionai.faith and we will set it up.

What if I have a theological concern about something Sion generated?

We take this seriously. If a prayer or response from Sion concerns you theologically, please email us at contact@sionai.faith with the specific text. We review every report and adjust the model when warranted. Theology is too important to be handled casually.

Will you ever pray for me when I am not online?

No. Sion does not pray autonomously. Sion prays alongside you, when you are present. The act of prayer requires a person; we will not simulate that.
